For more than 25 years, Wendy has been the architect of unique financial strategies on behalf of a diverse group of investors with demanding professions. She considers it a privilege to help her clients achieve their financial goals. She prioritizes communication as a key component in the process, and her focus is on providing personal attention. She strives to be counted on and to remain knowledgeable to help clients plan for better tomorrows.
Wendy’s career started in a brokerage firm where she was the health insurance expert for other agents while also helping clients directly. She worked with Medicare, long-term care and life insurance. Her following role was with Mutual of New York, first as the office manager, then as the firm recruiter. She also helped clients with investments and other products. Feeling an urge to further develop her skills, particularly in compliance, Wendy moved to Prudential where she held the role of Operations and Control Manager. It was in that role that she discovered her true passion for working directly with clients, so the next logical step was to seek out an opportunity that would allow her to do just that.
In 2000, Wendy accepted a position with the company formerly known as Aetna (now Voya), where she made on-site visits to various locations and met with employees at their places of business. From state and county locations to school districts and the Kansas Board of Regents, she had the opportunity to directly impact the lives of the people she has served.
It was in 2007 when Wendy really started focusing on developing and implementing personalized financial plans for individuals and small businesses. Now, her goal is to serve clients with the utmost sophistication and creativity.
Her husband Mark, who is also a financial advisor, is the love of her life, and the two have been married for almost 20 years. Wendy is also deeply involved with her three children (Jordan, Kya and Cole), her three grandchildren (Holden, Harper and Hadley) and her three dogs (Phoenix, Cabo and Gus). The whole crew keeps her quite active when she is not working. Food is also one of Wendy’s biggest passions. She loves to cook and create dishes that delight her family and friends. She also loves playing sports more than watching them and is obsessed with traveling and exploring new places. Additionally, Wendy enjoys talking to her clients about the places they visit, happily adding new destinations to her list for upcoming adventures.
